A man has been taken to hospital after being stabbed multiple times in Crawley. The 37-year-old man was walking along Broadfield Brook footpath, at around 1am on January 18, when he was approached by three men coming from the opposite direction. Police said one of the suspects reportedly carried a large knife while another demanded the victim's money. Officers said the victim did not have any money on him and was subsequently stabbed twice. The victim reached the end of the footpath where it's said he bumped into a member of the public who he warned about walking down the footpath. He was then taken to hospital in Brighton where he received stitches for his wounds. Police now want to speak to the member of the public, who is described as white, male, 5'9'' tall, with dark blonde hair and was wearing dark clothing. Anyone with information is asked to contact 101, quoting serial 63 of 18/01.
