Sussex Police said this evening (May 19) that the ten-year-old girl from Hassocks, Yasmin Tas, has been found after being reported missing this morning.
By 8.30pm, Sussex Police had withdrawn their information appealing for help to locate her.
Then, shortly before 9pm, officers confirmed she was "safe and well".
She had earlier been the subject of an urgent police search, which also brought support and offers of practical assistance from hundreds of people in or near the village.
