Police are trying to identify a man, out walking in Worthing, who suffered serious injuries this morning, in a collision with a car.
The 60-year-old pedestrian was taken to hospital after the incident around 7am near where Beaumont Road meets Sompting Avenue.
Officers have given the injured man's age, but say he carried no identification.
According to police, the collision victim is white, with grey hair.
An appeal for information, or relevant dash-camera footage, has been launched.
