
Sussex Partnership NHS Foundation Trust (SPFT) has set out its priorities for the next five years in delivering mental health, learning disability and neurodevelopmental services.
The new organisational strategy has been co-produced over the last year with patients, carers, families, staff and partner organisations.
The Trust has drawn upon the expertise of more than 900 people who have experience of its services, more than 2000 staff and 64 system partner representatives.
It has held 50 focus group sessions and more than 1900 people took part in its online survey.
The Trust's new vision is: "delivering great care and improving outcomes together".
Sussex Partnership's Chair, Sean Duggan, said: "I would like to thank everyone who helped shape our new five-year plan. It is more important than ever to be clear about how to harness our collective energy, expertise and experience to continuously improve the quality of the lives of people in Sussex who need our support."
The strategy sets out the Trust's five-year ambitions; the goals it wants to achieve by 2030. The are to:
- Deliver high quality care consistently
- Be a good partner
- Be an employer of choice
- Improve everyday
- Be sustainable
The Trust has also defined a new set of organisational values: compassionate accountable and optimistic.
SPFT's Chief Executive, Dr Jane Padmore said: "I am confident our new organisational strategy provides the framework to help us deliver high quality mental health, learning disability and neurodevelopmental services during the next five years that are safe, effective and a good experience.
"We look forward to delivering this new plan on behalf of the patients, carers, families and local communities we serve."
