A 70-year-old paddleboarder has died after he got into trouble in the water just off Worthing beach on Sunday (May 28).
The air ambulance was seen assisting HM Coastguard just before 6pm, on the beach opposite Marine Gardens.
Police say the man had suffered a 'medical incident' while in the water.
He was pronounced dead at the scene.
Police thanked the public who had been using the beach for their patience and understanding while the incident unfolded.
