Police investigating attack on teenage boy while out with family in Lewes

Police are looking for a man in connection with a reported attack on a 16-year-old boy in Lewes. Officers were called to reports of an altercation in Brighton Road last Sunday (April, 19) around 11.45am. The victim was walking with his mother and sister along Brighton Road, between Houndean Rise and Southdown Avenue, when they passed another family - a man, woman and two children - riding bicycles. Police said an argument broke out, during which the teenager was assaulted and was left with minor injuries. Officers now believe the man pictured can help with enquiries. He is described as in his 30s, of medium build with blond/brown hair, and was wearing black shorts and a black T-shirt. The woman he was with is described as in her 30s, with brown hair tied in a ponytail, of medium build and wearing glasses, a black top and blue shorts. Anyone with information is asked to call 101, quoting reference number 1320 of 19/04.
