Police are investigating a reported ram raid at a Jempson's store in Northiam this morning (Thursday, 10) in which attempts were made to steal a cash machine. Officers were called to the premises in Station Road shortly before 1am, after reports a light coloured 4x4 was used to cause significant damage to the front of the store. Police said the suspects, believed to be four men all wearing hooded tops, baseball caps and gloves, then fled the scene empty handed.
