Police in Burgess Hill are inviting suspected trespassers at a swimming pool to try to reclaim the clothes they left behind — but only by attending the town's Police Station.
According to Sussex Police's Inspector Darren Taylor, officers were called to a school in the town on Sunday evening after reports that three men had broken in.
Police learned from the call that the intruders were using the establishment's swimming pool.
When officers arrived at the pool, the trio spotted them and ran off — while still wearing only their swimming trunks.
After collecting the rest of the suspects' clothes from the scene, police are inviting them to try retrieving their garments by going to the Police Station.
