An investigation has begun after two men carrying knives attempted to hold up a Carden Avenue shop last Thursday (Feb 24).
It happened at around 10.30am at the County Oak Post Office.
Police say two men pulled up on a red scooter and entered the store carrying knives.
They threatened staff and demanded they open the till, but left without taking anything after being confronted and pursued out of the store.
One female member of staff suffered an injury to her hand during a struggle with one of the suspects.
The pair made off on the vehicle northbound along Carden Avenue.
They are both described as wearing all-black jackets, tracksuit bottoms, trainers and helmets.
