
Crews from Hastings, Bexhill and Battle have spent the night tackling a fire in Milward Road.
Reports came through to East Sussex Fire & Rescue at 3.06 this morning (April 27).
Six engines attended the scene and an aerial ladder platform was used as well as two hose reels and two main jets.
The service issued an update at 5.03am to report that two more engines had been required at the scene and one casualty was handed over to paramedics.
All people are accounted for and crews are currently damping down the scene, which they say is likely to take some "considerable time".
People are being asked to please avoid the area.
