Two people arrested in connection with a fatal collision on the A27 on Wednesday (February 10) have been released on bail.
A 20-year-old woman and a 23-year-old man from Havant were detained on suspicion of causing death by dangerous driving after a man was killed in a collision on Wednesday night.
The 25-year-old fatality from Havant was driving a black Volkswagen Golf on the eastbound carriageway towards Chichester, near the Sussex/Hampshire border, when it crashed into the central reservation.
The passenger, a 19-year-old man from Havant, suffered life-threatening injuries and remains in hospital in a serious but stable condition.
The suspects have since been released on conditional bail until March 10, pending further enquiries.
Anyone who saw what happened or has dash cam footage of the Golf, or a red Audi A3, being driven prior to the collision is urged to contact police, quoting Operation Westdown.
