A person who was being cared for at The Kleinwort Centre in Haywards Heath is the third person to have reportedly died after testing positive for Covid-19. Sussex Community NHS Foundation Trust said the individual, who died on Monday (March, 23) was aged 82, and had underlying health conditions. The news comes as the number of deaths jumped nationally by 87 yesterday (Tuesday, 24), bringing the total figure in the UK to 422. In the county, it is the third death recorded in under a week; a patient with coronavirus died at Eastbourne District General Hospital on Saturday (March, 21), where the first coronavirus-related death was recorded just a week ago (March, 18). Medical Director Dr Sara Lightowlers said: "Sadly, we can confirm that a man who was being cared for at The Kleinwort Centre, and had tested positive for COVID-19, has died.
