Police have arrested three people in connection with a series of attacks in Horsham early on Sunday morning (December, 15). Officers said two of the victims were robbed and an attempt was made to steal a car in Brighton Road, just before 1am. According to the force, two youths and a man jumped in front of a woman's vehicle and asked her for a lift. When she refused and attempted to drive around them, one of them smashed her passenger window with a bottle. They then approached a man nearby and demanded money, before hitting him over the back of the head with a bottle. Police said they then approached another man, threatening and hitting him, before proceeding to kick him while he was on the ground. They then went on to punch another man in East Street. DS Joel Brooks said: "We are investigating a series of events which all happened in a short space of time close to each other. "We have made three arrests but would like to hear from anyone who saw these or has any information about them to come forward." Police said nothing was stolen in any of the incidents and none of the victims needed hospital treatment. A pair of 17-year-old boys and a 22-year-old man were arrested on suspicion of robbery following the attacks. One of the 17-year-olds was also arrested on suspicion of assaulting a PC when he was detained, while the 22-year-old was also arrested on suspicion of resisting arrest and possession of an offensive weapon. All three have been released under investigation at this time. Anyone with information is asked to call 101, quoting reference number 78 of 15/12.
