Three Drugs Arrests After 'Cannabis Cultivation Site' Raided In East Preston

Three men have been arrested after police in East Preston executed a warrant in the early hours of Tuesday (February 2).

Officers attended two premises in Sea Road and found a cannabis cultivation site after receiving intelligence from the local community.

Three men - aged 32, 34, and 41 - were arrested on suspicion of being concerned in the production of a Class B drug.

A 67-year-old man was arrested on suspicion of conspiring to supply a Class B drug.

They have been released under investigation pending further enquiries.

There was a large police presence overnight while the sites were cleared and investigative work ongoing.

Detective Inspector Kimberly May said:

"Thank you to the public for their patience and understanding while this work was being carried out, as it may have caused some disruption to local residents.

"The deployment of armed officers was in response to specific information. I am satisfied that there is not, nor was there ever a threat to the wider community

"If you have information or concerns about drugs in your area, then we want to know about. We ask the public to continue to make the right call and report information to us online or by calling 101."
