Two men have been charged after being searched in Oxford Road on Friday (July 1) and found to be carrying weapons and drugs.
Police received reports of the men carrying weapons at around 12.15am, after which the men were both arrested and a shortened shotgun recovered.
No injuries were reported and there is not believed to be any threat to the wider community.
Aaron Aubrey, 28, of Oxford Road, St Leonards, is charged with driving while disqualified, driving with no insurance, being concerned in the supply of cocaine, possession of a shortened shotgun, possession of cannabis and possession of a weapon for the discharge of a noxious liquid or gas.
Daniel Cannon, 28, of Fairlight Road, Hastings, is charged with being concerned in the supply of cocaine and producing cannabis.
Both men were taken into custody after appearing at Brighton Magistrates' Court on Saturday (July 2) and they'll appear in court again at a later date.
