Two people have been rescued from a fire on the first floor of a property in Angmering this morning (Thursday 11).
Crews from East Preston, Littlehampton and Worthing were called to the blaze at around 10.15am.
Firefighters said breathing apparatus and two hose reels are being used to put out the flames on the upper floor and in the roof space.
Nearby residents are asked to keep windows and doors closed.
SECAmb and the air ambulance were in attendance.
Two casualties were taken to Worthing hospital to be treated for minor burns and smoke inhalation.
Crews remained at the scene at 11.15am.
