A daylight street attack in central Brighton has left a 39-year-old victim unconscious and in hospital.
Police and paramedics were called to the scene in Queens Road at 5.40pm on Saturday (August 8).
Officers said the 39-year-old victim was punched to the ground by a man they described as mixed race, in his 20s, 5' 10" - 6', of muscular build and wearing a white T-shirt with flowery markings and black shorts.
The attacker reportedly made off bare-chested in the direction of the Clock Tower.
He was said to have been in the company of another man described as white, with light brown hair, wearing a bright orange top and light-coloured shorts.
The victim was taken to hospital where he remained on Sunday afternoon.
Police have made an appeal for witnesses and information.
They also reached out to anyone who recognises the man in the photos.
