Tomorrow, October 29, will be the 33rd birthday of Worthing mother-of-two Georgina Gharsallah, who's been missing for more than two-and-a-half years.
Georgina was last seen on March 7, 2018 in a shop in the town, in addition to a possible sighting the same day in Chapel Road.
To mark her birthday, her family and their supporters have stated they intend to hold an on-line vigil on Thursday evening, from 7 to 7.40pm.
Organisers said:
"Due to Covid-19 restrictions we have decided to hold Georgina's 33rd birthday vigil online via Zoom.
"This will also give those of our supporters who are not local, the opportunity to join the vigil online and feel part of this event.
"Our vigil will start at 7pm with a welcome from Georgina's mum, Andrea."
It will be only one of many public actions that have been held since 2018, to draw attention to the great and lasting concern surrounding her disappearance.
The campaign to learn more is clearly visible to anyone in Worthing, as numerous posters featuring Ms. Gharsallah can be seen in the town.
More than 8,400 people are following developments via one social media network alone.
Since the day Georgina was last seen, there has been no-trace of the 33-year-old despite multiple appeals for information by her family and police, together with a £10,000 reward being offered.
Georgina's disappearance has also been the subject of disagreements between her family and Sussex Police over officers' actions taken during the search.
They intensified in August 2019, after the county's police service reclassified the case as a potential homicide.
These disagreements developed earlier this year into an official police admission that officers failed to collect some potential CCTV evidence, after which Sussex Police referred itself to the Independent Office for Police Conduct.
The Chief Constable has met Georgina's mother, Andrea, and apologised for these failings.
