A 38-year-old woman from Selsey has been arrested after a large quantity of weapons and imitation firearms were seized from a property on Thursday (August 6).
The woman was arrested on suspicion of importing prohibited weapons and has been released under investigation while enquiries are ongoing.
A warrant was executed by police from local enforcement teams and teams working with Home Office funding to tackle serious violence and knife crime.
Sergeant Scott Walters said:
"We continue to encourage members of the public to report any suspicious activity or behaviour in their area.
"We are determined to proactively enforce laws around possession, importation and use of knives and bladed articles.
"Dangerous items have no place on our streets and it remains a priority for Sussex Police to locate and remove from our communities.”
