Met Office forecasters believe flooding is likely in parts of Sussex this afternoon.
Maps show a low pressure area over the Irish Sea is likely to bring fronts carrying rain to Sussex, particularly between 3pm and 7pm.
Britain's official forecasters said:
"The afternoon could bring up to 30 or 40 mm in 5 or 6 hours in a few areas - enough to cause a lot of surface water and some flooding on roads."
They added:
"Flooding of one or two homes and businesses is possible."
