Britain's official weather forecasters are warning of particularly strong winds along the entire Sussex coastline in the early hours of Tuesday morning (April 9th).
The Met Office said:
"A spell of strong onshore winds will affect parts of the English Channel coastline overnight Monday and Tuesday morning.
"Gusts will reach 40-50 mph just inland from the coastal strip and potentially as much as 60 mph along the most exposed coastal spots.
"Through Tuesday morning, the wind will ease and direction change to offshore."
It is likely that some coastal routes, sea fronts and coastal villages will be affected by spray and large waves.
Some delays to public transport and other road journeys are likely, and power losses are possible.
Weather predictions using data collected in the early hours this morning (Monday) all agree that the peak of the high winds should come between 3am and 5am on Tuesday morning: see the film, below.
