Witness Appeal Following Racial Abuse And Assault On Brighton Bus

Police are appealing for witnesses after a man was reported to have racially abused a woman on a bus in Brighton, then assaulted members of the public who came to her aid.

It happened at around 3pm on Saturday, August 6 on the 1A bus from Churchill Square, heading along Western Road towards Palmeira Square in Hove.

Officers would like to speak to anybody who witnessed the incident or has any information which could help with the investigation.
