Police are appealing for witnesses after a serious collision on the A27 at Beddingham, just after 2.30pm last Friday (Oct 22) in which a woman died.
The collision involved three cars - a BMW X3, a Hyundai i10 and a Ford S-Max - and resulted in the road being closed in both directions for several hours.
Paramedics on the scene attempted to help the driver of the Hyundai - a 64-year-old woman from Peacehaven - but, despite their best efforts, she died at the scene.
A second driver was taken to the Royal Sussex County Hospital in Brighton for treatment to minor injuries.
