Worthing Pair Arrested After Suspected Drug Deal - 'White Powder' Wraps Seized

A man and a woman in their twenties have been arrested after officers spotted a suspected drug deal in Worthing on Saturday (February 27).

Police said a pedestrian was seen to approach two people in a BMW near Broadwater High Street, where items appeared to be exchanged.

The vehicle was subsequently stopped in Offington Drive and a search was carried out.

A large amount of white powder in wraps were seized.

A 27-year-old man and a 20-year-old woman, both from Worthing, were detained on suspicion of possession of a Class A drug with intent to supply.

They have been released under investigation pending further enquiries.
