The Met Office has warned, continuing bad weather today could cause disruption to services this evening and overnight.
Disruptions include:
• Bus and train services probably affected with journey times taking longer
• Spray and flooding on roads probably making journey times longer
• Some interruption to power supplies and other services likely
• Flooding of a few homes and businesses is likely
The report says heavy rain coming from the southwest of England will reach the southeast late Wednesday afternoon, with rain lasting for around six hours in any location, finally clearing in the early hours of Thursday (Oct 21) morning.
It may be accompanied by coastal gales and, in a few places, thunder.
Fifteen to 25 mm of rain is widely expected with 30 to 50 mm possible in a few places.
