Emergency services were called to reports of people on the rooftops in Chichester yesterday (Sunday 29).
West Sussex Fire and Rescue Service said they were called to support police with an incident in East Street, just after 4pm.
Firefighters from Chichester Fire Station and the Technical Rescue Unit attended the scene after reports of people on the roof of a building.
Three youths were taken into custody, according to the fire service.
On Twitter, Chichester fire (@ChichesterFire) called it 'incredibly silly behaviour', pointing out that it could have 'resulted in tragedy'.
A spokesperson for West Sussex Fire and Rescue Service said:
“We were called to support the police with an incident on East Street, Chichester, at 4.06pm on Sunday (29 November).
“Firefighters from Chichester Fire Station and the Technical Rescue Unit attended the scene after reports of people on the roof of a building.
“Crews worked closely with officers from Sussex Police, and booked away from the incident at 5.23pm.”
A spokesperson from Sussex Police said:
"Police were called to East Street, Chichester, around 3.45pm on Sunday (November 29) to reports of a group of young people on the roof of a building causing a disturbance.
"Officers attended and three 14-year-old boys were identified. They were given strong words of advice about their behaviour.
A drone was used to search the rooftops for any other persons, but none were seen."
